Compliance with Australian standards (AS/NZS 1170 for loads and AS 4100 for steel) is notoriously rigorous. This week, ZSL hosted a senior delegation from a Tier-1 Australian steel contracting firm to verify our ability to meet these high-barrier requirements.

 

The Audit Focus: Welding and Traceability

The three-day audit focused on the core pillars of the Australian construction code:

1. Welding Integrity: Review of our AS/NZS ISO 3834 compliant welding procedures. The team observed live NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) on 30mm thick plates for a high-rise office project.
2. Material Certification: Verification that all Q355B steel utilized by ZSL meets the chemical and impact-test requirements of the Australian market.
3. DFT & Anti-Corrosion: A deep dive into our C4-category coating systems, essential for Australia's harsh coastal environments.

 

The Result: "Confidence in the Connection"

The delegation lead commented: "What impressed us most wasn't just the machinery, but the engineering logic. ZSL understands that in Australia, a missing certificate is as bad as a missing beam."

The visit concluded with a signed framework agreement for three upcoming industrial warehouse projects in New South Wales, totaling over 1,500 tons of structural steel.
